Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) reported record load factors for March. Load factors for system (83.6%), mainline system (84.2%), domestic (84.5%) and Latin (81.9%) were higher than any previous March on record for Delta.
System traffic in March 2008 increased 2.3% over March 2007 with a capacity increase of 1.5%. International traffic increased 12.5% year over year on a 12.2% increase in capacity. Domestic traffic in March 2008 decreased 2.1% year over year on a capacity decrease of 3.2%.
In addition, a record number of passengers flew internationally on Delta during the month of March. The number of international, Atlantic and Latin passengers increased 11.9%, 10.1% and 13.3%, respectively, versus the same period last year.[SM]
System traffic in March 2008 increased 2.3% over March 2007 with a capacity increase of 1.5%. International traffic increased 12.5% year over year on a 12.2% increase in capacity. Domestic traffic in March 2008 decreased 2.1% year over year on a capacity decrease of 3.2%.
