Costco Wholesale (COST) Gains Following 7% January Comp Increase

Costco Wholesale Corporation (NASDAQ: COST) is gaining 2.9% in pre-open trade after the company today reported that comps rose 7%, or 5% ex-gas.

Net sales were $9.08 billion for the month of January, the four weeks ended January 29, 2017, an increase of nine percent from $8.32 billion during the similar period last year.
