Shares of Costco (Nasdaq: COST) are trading modestly lower early Thursday morning following sales results for the month of May. The retailer reported total sales were $7.67 billion for the month, up about 7 percent from the same month last year. Same-store sales were up about 4 percent. Comps excluding gasoline prices were up about 6 percent.
