Cost-U-Less (CULS) Reports Increase in August Same-Store Sales
Cost-U-Less, Inc. (Nasdaq: CULS) reported an increase of 7.2% in same store sales (stores open a full 13 months), for the four weeks ended August 26, 2007. For the corresponding period a year ago (August 2006), the Company experienced a same store sales increase of 5.1%.
The Company experienced strong sales in the Hawaiian and Virgin Island markets in anticipation of hurricanes Flossie and Dean that threatened the areas respectively. Fortunately neither hurricane inflicted significant harm or damage to either of these markets.
