Claire's Stores, Inc. (NYSE: CLE) reported that for the five weeks ended April 1, 2006 comparable store sales decreased 3%, in contrast to the five-week period ended April 2, 2005 when comparable store sales rose 10%.
Total sales during the five-week period ended April 1, 2006 decreased 3% to $116,666,000 compared with $119,692,000 for the comparable five-week period last year.
