The Childrens Place Retail Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: PLCE) said consolidated comparable store sales increased 10%. Wall Street was looking for an 8% rise.
Total sales for the four-week period ended October 28, 2006 increased 20% to $184.8 million compared to $154.2 million last year.
