Chico's FAS, Inc. (NYSE: CHS) reported March sales results for the five-week period ended April 1, 2006, increased 21.9% to $157.3 million from $129.0 million reported for the prior year's five-week period ended April 2, 2005.
Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores increased 8.4% for the five-week period ended April 1, 2006, compared to the same five-week period last year. Current consensus is 8.2%.
For the nine weeks ended April 1, 2006, total sales increased 20.4% to $256 million from $213 million for the same period a year ago.
