Chico's FAS (CHS) Reports Increase in April Same-Store Sales

Chico's FAS, Inc. (NYSE: CHS) reported that its April sales results for the four-week period ended May 5, 2007, increased 9.8% to $148.7 million from $135.5 million reported for the four-week period ended April 29, 2006. Comparable store sales for the Company-owned stores decreased 7.3% for the four-week period ended May 5, 2007 compared to the same four-week period last year ending May 6, 2006.
For the thirteen-week period ended May 5, 2007, total sales increased 16.0% to $453 million from $391 million reported for the thirteen-week period ended April 29, 2006.
