Casey's General Stores, Inc. (Nasdaq: CASY) reports June same-store sales results for stores open for one full year.
Same store gasoline gallons sold decreased 3.6% in June 2006 compared to June 2005. The gasoline margin was below the Company's fiscal 2007 goal of 10.8 cents. The average retail price of gasoline sold during June 2006 was $2.75 per gallon.
Same-store sales of grocery and other merchandise increased 2.3% and prepared food and fountain same-store sales increased 12.7% in June 2006 compared to June 2005.
