Carrols Restaurant Group (TAST) Tops Q1 EPS by 12c

Carrols Restaurant Group (NASDAQ: TAST) reported Q1 EPS of $0.05, $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of ($0.07). Revenue for the quarter came in at $222.5 million versus the consensus estimate of $216.19 million.

Comparable restaurant sales increased 5.7% compared to an 8.4% increase in the prior year period.

GUIDANCE:

Carrols Restaurant Group sees FY2016 revenue of $935-960 million, versus prior guidance of $930-955 million and the consensus of $940.1 million. Comps expected up 2%.
