CHRS Reported Same Store Sales

Charming Shoppes, Inc., (Nasdaq: CHRS) reported that total sales for the four weeks ended April 30, 2005 increased 5% to $203,100,000 from $194,300,000 for the four weeks ended May 1, 2004. Comparable store sales for Charming Shoppes, Inc. increased 3% for the four weeks ended April 30, 2005.
