Build-A-Bear Workshop (BBW) Tops Q1 EPS by 20c

Build-A-Bear Workshop (NYSE: BBW) reported Q1 EPS of $0.31, $0.20 better than the analyst estimate of $0.11. Revenue for the quarter came in at $96.8 million versus the consensus estimate of $98.72 million.

Consolidated comparable store sales decreased 2.2%, reflecting the shift of Easter to the fiscal second quarter from the fiscal first quarter of 2013, which included a 1.9% decrease in North America and a 3.2% decrease in Europe.
