Big Lots Reports January Same-Store Sales

Big Lots, Inc. (NYSE: BLI) reported retail sales for January 2006 of $272.4 million, a 5.6% increase compared to retail sales of $257.9 million for the same period in fiscal 2005. Comparable store sales for all stores open at least two years as of the beginning of the fiscal year increased 6.4% in January.
