BLI Announces Same-Store Sales

Big Lots (NYSE: BLI) announced retail sales for the four weeks ended August 27, 2005 of $305.5 million, a 5.7% increase compared to retail sales of $289.2 million for the same period in fiscal 2004. Comparable store sales for all stores open at least two years as of the beginning of the fiscal year increased 0.6% in August.
