BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. (NYSE: BJ) reported that sales for May 2005 increased by 4.7% to $603.4 million from $576.4 million in May 2004. Comparable club sales for May increased by 0.5%, including a contribution from sales of gasoline of 20 basis points. Last year, the Company reported a comparable club sales increase of 12.1% for May, including a contribution from sales of gasoline of 2.3%.
