AutoNation, Inc. (NYSE: AN) announced that its total retail new vehicle unit sales in February 2014, as reported to the applicable automotive manufacturers, were 21,987, an increase of 4% as compared to February 2013. Same-store retail new vehicle unit sales in February 2014 were 21,560, an increase of 2% as compared to February 2013. Total retail new vehicle unit sales for AutoNation's operating segments in February 2014 were as follows:
-- 6,829 for Domestic, up 3% versus February 2013,
-- 10,822 for Import, up 4% versus February 2013, and
-- 4,336 for Premium Luxury, up 7% versus February 2013.
AutoNation expects to report March 2014 retail new vehicle unit sales on Wednesday, April 2, 2014.
