American Apparel (APP) Rips Following Strong March Sales

American Apparel (AMEX: APP) is ripping in after-hours trading Wednesday after reporting its preliminary March sales metrics.
The retailer said sales rose 15 percent to $49 million while comparable store sales on a preliminary basis increased an estimated 21 percent and wholesale net sales increased an estimated 10 percent.
For the quarter, comps were up 15 percent.
In late trading, American Apparel shares are up well above 15 percent.
