Aeropostale (ARO) August Comps Up 3.3%

Aeropostale, Inc. (NYSE: ARO) August comparable store sales increased 3.3%, versus the consensus of a 2.1% rise. Total net sales for the four-week period ended August 26, 2006 increased 16.6% to $159.1 million.

Aeropostale, Inc. is a mall-based, specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, principally targeting 14 to 17 year-old young women and men. The company currently operates 713 Aeropostale stores in 47 states and 14 Jimmy'Z stores in 11 states.
