To examine America's connection with and understanding of nature, GlobeScan, an independent research consultancy, recently conducted a national study to learn how people feel and think about nature. Key findings of this study include:

• Nature is an essential part of America's cultural identity
• A majority of Americans agree that addressing threats to nature is just as important as addressing economic issues
• Americans recognize that protecting nature if critical for their overall wellbeing—from ensuring steady food and water supplies to supporting mental health.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF), one of the world's leading conservation organizations, is launching a new campaign about how nature sustains every aspect of our lives, often in unexpected ways.
