White Oak Commercial Finance Names Mark Buren Managing Director, Originations

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- White Oak Commercial Finance (“WOCF”), an affiliate of White Oak Global Advisors, today announced that Mark Buren has joined the firm as Managing Director on its Originations team. Based in Baltimore, Buren will focus on originating asset-based lending opportunities and expanding WOCF’s relationships with borrowers and intermediaries across the U.S.

Buren brings nearly four decades of commercial lending and asset-based finance experience. Most recently, he served as Managing Director of Business Development at Huntington Business Credit, where he originated asset-based and lender-financed transactions across the Mid-Atlantic and New York markets. Previously, he held senior business development roles at CIBC Business Credit, AloStar Business Credit, Wells Fargo Capital Finance, Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance, CIT Business Credit and other financial institutions.

Buren holds an MBA from the University of Baltimore and a B.S. in Finance from Towson University. He is a member of the Secured Finance Network, Turnaround Management Association and Association for Corporate Growth.
