Now in its fourth year, the WealthManagement.com Industry Awards is the only awards program to honor outstanding achievements by companies and organizations that support financial advisor success. This year, 67 awards were presented to 59 companies from a pool of 156 finalists.

This year, the WealthManagement.com Industry Awards expanded to include categories such as model marketplaces, alternative investment platforms and industry research providers. The 2018 WealthManagement.com Industry Awards also recognized individual RIA firm leaders — including CEO, innovator, M&A leader and thought leader of the year for the first time.

Morningstar was the big winner of the night, receiving 3 awards, while AdvicePeriod, Advisor Group, BNY Mellon's Pershing, ECHELON Partners, Guggenheim Investments and Nationwide each walked away with two. Among the other well-known names receiving awards were Charles Schwab, Fidelity Investments, John Hancock Investments, Raymond James, State Street Global Advisors, TD Ameritrade Institutional and Voya Financial Advisors.

A panel of eight judges from top names in the industry determined the 2018 WealthManagement.com Industry Awards. Winners were judged based on quantitative measures of their initiatives—such as scope, scale, adoption and feature set—along with qualitative measures such as innovation, creativity and new methods of delivery.
