Veteran Entrepreneurs Honored During National Veterans Small Business Week
WASHINGTON, Nov. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and SBA's Office of Veterans Business Development (OVBD) will celebrate the accomplishments of veteran, service member and military spouse small business owners nationwide during National Veterans Small Business Week Oct. 31-Nov. 4.
In his proclamation, President Barack Obama called the event "a demonstration of support for all veteran-owned businesses and a celebration of their accomplishments."
SBA district offices and resource partners across the U.S. will host local events including Boots to Business and Boots to Business: Reboot, webinars, and workshops on access to capital, federal procurement, and entrepreneurial development. In addition to local National Veterans Small Business Week events, SBA is hosting live streamed events and a webinar:
- Tuesday, November 1AARP & SBA Webinar, 7-8 p.m. EDT
- Wednesday, November 2Facebook: Live interview with Nick Palmisciano from Ranger Up, an American apparel company owned and operated by military veterans—6:30-7:30 p.m. EDT
