Verne Global Appoints New Board Member Niklas Savander

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Verne Global, a UK-based developer at the forefront of data center infrastructure design, today announced that Niklas Savander has joined the Verne Global Board of Directors. Mr Savander has had a long career applying technology products, solutions and software across a wide variety of commercial industries. As global enterprise organizations continue to look for innovative ways to address their on-going data center power demands, Mr Savander will provide significant knowledge and expertise that will help Verne Global address this growing market opportunity.

Mr. Savander plays an active board role as both advisor and chairman to a number of private equity and venture capital funds. In addition to Verne Global, he is currently a board member of Nebula and an adviser to WiderFi Networks, as well as chairman and board member to several non-profit organizations in his native Finland.

As part of his deep technology experience, Mr. Savander has served as President and CEO of Elekta, a publicly listed Swedish cancer care equipment and software company. Before that he spent 16 years in senior management roles in Nokia, in their networks, handset and digital services businesses, progressing to the role of COO of the company. Mr. Savander also has experience from numerous non-executive roles in companies like NokiaSiemens Networks, Symbian, Tamfelt and others.
