Vermiculus appoints Alexander Kilian as Chief Information Security Officer

With Alexander Kilian as the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Vermiculus builds on its long-standing commitment to security and resilience while supporting continued innovation.

STOCKHOLM, Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Vermiculus, a global independent provider of market infrastructure technology, today announced the appointment of Alexander Kilian as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). The appointment formalizes and strengthens the coordination of Vermiculus' established work in security and compliance, which has long been integral to the company's technology, customer engagements, and operations.

Alexander has already been involved in several areas of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) at Vermiculus, including customer Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) reviews, security and compliance requirements, AI governance, and the security aspects of Vermiculus' solutions and customer projects. In his new role, he will continue to coordinate this work across the organization.

With more than 30 years of experience in IT, including more than 25 years in the financial technology industry, Alexander brings extensive knowledge of financial markets and technology systems. Since joining Vermiculus shortly after its founding, he has played a key role in nearly all of the company's customer engagements, with a particular focus on the technical integration, deployment, and resilience of Vermiculus' solutions. Among the customer projects he has contributed to are JPX (Japan Exchange Group), ASX (Australian Securities Exchange), LME (London Metal Exchange), and OCC (The Options Clearing Corporation). His previous experience includes roles at OM, now part of Nasdaq, and Cinnober Financial Technology.
