Verisk Analytics Sponsors Building Safety Month, May 23-28, 2016

President Obama Cites Efforts to Increase Community Resilience

JERSEY CITY, N.J., May 23, 2016 - Verisk Analytics (Nasdaq:VRSK), a leading data analytics provider, announced its sponsorship of week four of Building Safety Month. President Barack Obama designated May 2016 as Building Safety Month in a proclamation and noted Verisk's commitment to expand community resilience efforts.

The International Code Council (ICC) founded Building Safety Month to increase public awareness and reinforce the need for adoption of modern model building codes and a strong and efficient system of code enforcement.

For more than 20 years, Verisk's ISO Building Code Effectiveness Grading Schedule (BCEGS^®) has been assessing the building codes in effect in communities and how each community enforces its building codes, with special emphasis on mitigation of losses from natural hazards.
