Verge Medical Acquires RoVo™ System to Advance Peripheral Embolic Protection
Distal embolization is a serious complication that commonly occurs during atherectomy and other peripheral interventions. The RoVo System addresses risk of distal embolization with its novel TOE technique, which temporarily blocks downstream blood flow through compression while a vacuum-activated catheter is advanced and rotated to create a patented "vortex" effect that efficiently captures and removes debris.
"The RoVo System exemplifies Verge Medical's mission to provide targeted solutions that are aligned with today's clinical, workflow and reimbursement realities," stated
The RoVo System joins the company's expanding portfolio, which includes the FLASH™ Aorto-Ostial Angioplasty System, used in over 25,000 procedures to date, and the Wavella™ specialty infusion catheter for venous therapy.
With FDA clearance, the RoVo System and its patented TOE technique reinforce Verge Medical's commitment to advancing vascular care through practical, physician-driven innovation designed to improve safety, efficiency, and outcomes.
