Urgent Care Association Announces New CEO

BATAVIA, Ill., Sept. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- The Urgent Care Association (UCA) is proud to announce Steve Sellars as its new Chief Executive Officer. Steve takes the helm following the retirement of Lou Ellen Horwitz, who first served as the CEO of the association from 2006-2012 and most recently since June of 2020, leading through eras of significant challenges, evolution and growth.

Prior to being named CEO of the Urgent Care Association, Steve Sellars served as CEO of Premier Health for over 20 years, a regional healthcare company specializing in Urgent Care, occupational health and related services. Steve brings valuable experience and a comprehensive understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities.

A longtime advocate for accessible, value-based care, Sellars has been actively involved with UCA for many years in various leadership and advisory roles. His career has been dedicated to advancing innovative care delivery models that improve access and outcomes.
