FINDLAY, Ohio, April 27, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The United Steelworkers (USW) today said that the union will sponsor a rally at 9 a.m. on Wed., April 29, prior to the company's annual meeting of shareholders at Marathon Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: MPC) headquarters.
Speakers will include elected USW leaders and members of USW Local 13-1, who remain on strike against unfair labor practices at Marathon Galveston Bay Refinery and Houston Green Cogeneration facility and are traveling from Texas for the event.
The USW represents 850,000 men and women employed in metals, mining, pulp and paper, rubber, chemicals, glass, auto supply and the energy-producing industries, along with a growing number of workers in public sector and service occupations.
