U.S. Conference of Mayors Continues to Stand with Ukraine

WASHINGTON, March 1, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the bipartisan U.S. Conference of Mayors has stood in solidarity with Ukraine, adopting an emergency resolution in support of the Ukrainian people and the democratic values under assault. Today, U.S. Conference of Mayors President Columbus (OH) Mayor Andrew Ginther released the following statement:

"Ukraine, America's ally, was invaded by a Russian government that is threatening its very existence. From the beginning of this conflict, the bipartisan U.S. Conference of Mayors has stood with the Ukrainian people and have engaged with their leaders, including President Volodymyr Zelensky, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, and Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova. We commend their resolve and their leadership.
