Top Portfolio Managers, Strategists to Speak at 2016 InvestMNt Conference

PIMCO, Goldman Sachs and GAMCO Asset Management stars to headline event

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The CFA Society of Minnesota today announced that three top portfolio managers and market strategists will speak at the fifth annual InvestMNt Conference on August 23 and 24. The lineup includes:

• Greg E. Sharenow, executive vice president and portfolio manager, PIMCO. Mr. Sharenow is a co-manager of PIMCO’s $2.4 billion CommoditiesPLUS Strategy Fund. Prior to joining PIMCO in 2011, he was an energy trader at Hess Energy Trading, Goldman Sachs, and DE Shaw. Mr. Sharenow was previously senior energy economist at Goldman Sachs. He has 16 years of investment and financial services experience. Mr. Sharenow will participate in a live interview on August 23 with Chris Farrell, economics editor of Marketplace Money, a nationally syndicated one-hour weekly personal finance show produced by American Public Media.
• Elizabeth Lilly, CFA, portfolio manager and senior vice president, GAMCO Asset Management. Ms. Lilly, who will speak on August 23, manages the $1.0 Billion Teton Westwood Mighty Mites Fund and is actively involved in GAMCO’s $3 billion small cap value research effort. She joined the firm in 2002 following GAMCO’s acquisition of Woodland Partners, which she co-founded in 1996. Prior to that she was a portfolio manager with First Asset Management and at Fund American Companies; she started her career in 1985 at The Goldman Sachs Group. GAMCO Investors has more than $40 billion in assets under management.
• John Tousley, CFA, is a senior market strategist, Strategic Advisory Solutions at Goldman Sachs. Mr. Tousley co-leads a team of specialists focused on economic and market strategy as well as client engagement on advanced portfolio construction and implementation issues. A 14-year Goldman Sachs veteran named a managing partner in 2011, Tousley has served as a member of the Goldman Sachs fixed income portfolio management team with a focus on municipal, short duration, and multi-sector fixed income coverage. He has 23 years of industry experience as an investment professional and portfolio manager.
