CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa, Feb. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The 2018 TaxAct Mobile Tour will stop in Dallas, Miami and Houston, inviting all freelancers, entrepreneurs, side-hustlers and other members of the gig economy to come out for a day of celebration, including inspirational talks from local influencers, live music, free coffee, food trucks, giveaways and more. TaxAct will also provide helpful tax tips for all those filing a 1099 this year, and give attendees a voucher for free e-filing with TaxAct solutions.

The TaxAct Mobile Tour schedule of pop-up events, which are free and open to the public, is as follows:
- Dallas: February 17, The Bomb Factory parking lot (2713 Canton St.), 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.—Attendees can check out TaxAct's new mobile app while sipping free specialty coffee and sampling offerings from local food trucks. Guest speakers include Brittani Rettig, owner of the GRIT Fitness studio in Dallas, and local photographer Amy Karp. - Miami: February 24, The Thrifter Market (2250 NW 2nd Ave.), 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.—Members of the public can stop by a pop-up event celebrating freelancers, with free specialty coffee, dishes from local food trucks, and demonstrations of TaxAct's new mobile app on offer. Attendees will also be treated to musical entertainment from Eyal Agai of Slap & Tickle Miami, and a talk by guest speaker Sarah Akiba, a life and fashion stylist from Paris who is based in Miami. - Houston: March 10, The Market at Sawyer Yards (1502 Sawyer St.), 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.—TaxAct will provide free specialty coffee, food truck grub, and demonstrations of its new mobile app for attendees, as well as live music from the Grifters & Shills, a Houston band.
