Over 500 Drivers Forced onto Nationwide Picket Lines Demand Fair Contract

WASHINGTON, Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 500 Teamsters drivers at 10 Roads Express, one of the largest private contractors for the United States Postal Service (USPS), have been forced to strike across eight states over the company's unfair labor practices and refusal to bargain in good faith. Despite the critical role these drivers play in keeping mail moving across the country, 10 Roads has continued to present an insulting and unrealistic contract proposal.

"Our members have had enough. They are on strike because 10 Roads Express refuses to offer a contract that recognizes our hard work and the essential service we provide," said John A. Murphy, Director of the Teamsters Freight Division. "This greedy company is responsible for shutting down its operations because it can't stomach coming back to the table with a fair and serious offer for workers."

10 Roads Express is one of the largest contractors for the USPS, receiving hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars to transport U.S. mail. The company continues to shortchange the workers who keep this critical service running. The strike has the potential to disrupt U.S. mail delivery across the country and will continue until 10 Roads Express presents a fair contract offer.

"We move the mail safely and on time, but 10 Roads Express is not treating us with the fairness and respect we deserve," said Keith Damguard, a nine-year driver at 10 Roads Express in Omaha and a member of Teamsters Local 554. "We're done with the unfair treatment from a company that takes millions from USPS while leaving workers behind. We will not accept anything less than what we have earned and deserve."
