NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Starr Companies is pleased to announce that John Hegeman has joined the organization in its Political Risk group. Mr. Hegeman joins as Starr continues to expand as a leading provider of insurance coverage for global political risk exposures.

Mr. Hegeman joins Starr with over 40 years of experience managing global political risk and credit insurance business. He served as the Senior Vice President and Global head of Political Risk Insurance business for AIG P&C for the last 25 years managing underwriting teams in North America, UK and Asia. Mr. Hegeman has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Boston College School of Management.
