Stancer Testing-Lab Brings Broad Accredited EMC and RF Testing Scope to Manufacturers Across North America

Laval laboratory's A2LA scope spans automotive, medical device, industrial and wireless testing methods for products headed to multiple markets

LAVAL, QC, Sept. 30, 2026 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Stancer Testing-Lab is putting its broad ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited test scope to work for manufacturers developing the next generation of electronic, electric-vehicle, medical and wireless products. Its A2LA electrical scope, issued September 16, 2026, brings together emissions, immunity, automotive and radio test methods at the company's Laval, Québec laboratory. A2LA certificate 7352.01 is valid through August 31, 2028.

Manufacturers do not just need a test report. They need a clear path to market.

For product teams, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing is a critical step between a promising design and a product ready for its target market. A failure late in development can force redesign and repeat testing. Stancer combines formal testing with pre-compliance work and technical guidance, giving engineers a practical way to investigate problems earlier and plan the evidence they need for applicable requirements.

A scope built around real product challenges

The accredited scope covers conducted and radiated emissions, electrostatic discharge, radiated and conducted RF immunity, electrical fast transients, surge, and voltage dips and interruptions. It lists widely used methods including FCC Part 15 Subpart B, FCC Part 18, ICES-003, CISPR 11, CISPR 32, CISPR 35 and IEC 61000-4 series methods. That breadth lets Stancer address the interaction between emissions, immunity and product design rather than treating each test as an isolated event.

For automotive programs, the scope includes ECE Regulation 10, CISPR 25, ISO 11452-2 and ISO 11452-4, ISO 11451-2, ISO 7637-2/-3/-4 and ISO 16750-2. These methods address vehicle and component emissions, susceptibility to electromagnetic fields and conducted transients, and electrical loads. For medical electrical equipment, the scope lists IEC 60601-1-2; for industrial and information technology products it includes relevant CISPR and IEC product-family methods. The applicable tests are determined by the product and its intended markets.

Wireless and radio testing

Stancer's accredited radio scope also lists test methods associated with FCC Part 15 intentional radiators, Canadian ISED RSS standards including RSS-Gen and RSS-247, and European ETSI methods including EN 300 328 and EN 301 893. Manufacturers developing wireless devices can therefore discuss EMC and radio test planning with the same technical team. Accreditation covers the testing activities identified in the A2LA scope; equipment authorization and market certification remain separate processes governed by the relevant authorities.

From design questions to defensible test evidence

"Manufacturers do not just need a test report. They need a clear path to market," said Keyhan Sheshyekani, Chief Executive Officer of Stancer Testing-Lab. Stancer's approach is to engage with engineers early, explain the meaning of test results and help them identify practical steps before formal compliance testing.

The company serves manufacturers in English and French from its facility at 3145 Rue Delaunay in Laval. Its multidisciplinary scope is especially relevant to products that combine power electronics, connected radios and sensitive control systems—such as electric vehicles, charging equipment, industrial devices and medical technology.
