SourceAmerica Celebrates Contributions of Employees with Disabilities

VIENNA, Va., July 7, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- SourceAmerica® is celebrating people with disabilities and the critical work they do to support the federal government, the economy, and communities across the country.

As the nation celebrates its 250th anniversary this July, it is also a meaningful opportunity to highlight a pivotal moment in American history. The Americans with Disabilities Act was signed into law on July 26, 1990, protecting people with disabilities from discrimination in all areas of public life, including jobs. While disability employment has improved since the ADA became law, still today, nearly 63% of working-age people with disabilities in the U.S. do not have jobs.

As a national nonprofit that helps administer the AbilityOne® Program – a program that creates employment opportunities for people with disabilities through federal product and service contracts, SourceAmerica recognizes the vital contributions people with disabilities bring to the workforce.
