SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Blanc & Otus is pleased to welcome Sam Diaz, a long-time technology journalist and corporate communications expert, as its Director of Content Creation and Influencer Relations, with a focus on developing strategic content initiatives for the agency and its lineup of technology clients. A seasoned storyteller, Sam's communications style has resonated with audiences across many different platforms, including print, digital video, blog, podcast and social media.

"We are thrilled to add Sam to our team. His understanding of the technology market and seminal work in owned media will elevate our content offering to greater heights," said Blanc & Otus CEO Tony Hynes. As a career journalist, Diaz has been a technology reporter, editor, blogger, podcaster, and video and radio personality for the San Jose Mercury News, The Washington Post and CBS Interactive. More recently, he led communications teams at Broadcom Corp. and HP Inc., where he developed digital newsrooms, blog networks and social media channels as avenues for elevating corporate narratives and influencing media coverage. His work has also included content and design overhauls of corporate web sites, establishing content and social media training programs and developing event and crisis communications protocols.
Diaz is a champion of diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workplace and in content offerings. He is a lifetime member and former officer of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and past chapter president of the California Chicano News Media Association. He has served as both a moderator and panelist for journalism and technology events, including the Consumer Electronics Show, TedX, the Online News Association and Latinos in Social Media.
"I'm thrilled to be joining a team of professionals who are committed to redefining the public relations and communications discipline to meet the ever-changing demands of today's news cycle, social media influence and audience diversity," Diaz said.
