Riverside Theatre Welcomes Robert Gibilterra as Chief Financial Officer

VERO BEACH, Fla., Sept. 23, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Riverside Theatre, the largest independent nonprofit professional theatre in the state of Florida, announced today the appointment of Robert (Bob) Gibilterra as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), a key executive leadership role that will help support the Theatre's next phase of artistic, educational, and campus growth.

For more than half a century, Riverside Theatre has served as the Treasure Coast's premier professional theatre, inspiring generations through extraordinary performances, acclaimed education programs, and deep community partnerships. As the Theatre advances its long-term vision for a more flexible, welcoming campus and broader community impact, Gibilterra will oversee the Theatre's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, risk management, and long-range financial planning, helping to support Riverside Theatre's continued growth and strategic vision.

Gibilterra's experience spans publicly traded, private equity-backed, and entrepreneurial growth companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Original X Productions (OGX)/Superfly Media Experiences, a live entertainment company known for developing immersive experiences and festivals. Prior, he spent nearly three decades with Viacom and MTV Networks, where he began his career in accounting and finance before advancing through a series of increasingly senior leadership roles across MTV, Nickelodeon, and the broader Viacom portfolio. He ultimately served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Viacom's Global Entertainment Group. Throughout his career, he has guided complex financial operations, supported periods of growth, and partnered closely with creative and operational leaders to balance innovation, growth, and financial stewardship.

Gibilterra holds an MBA in Communications & Media Management from Fordham University, a BBA in Accounting from Adelphi University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Gibilterra was selected as CFO following a national search led by Michele Counter of DHR Global's Arts & Nonprofit Practice. He will relocate to Vero Beach and begin his role in October 2026.
