Randy Shain Joins Hilton Global Associates as Chief Operating Officer

Leading Industry Veteran Will Also Head the Firm’s Hedge Fund Due Diligence Practice

NEW YORK & NAPLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Hilton Global Associates Inc. (“Hilton Global”), a provider of timely, relevant, and actionable investigative due diligence, announced today that Randy Shain has joined the firm as Chief Operating Officer. Shain will help to build out and oversee Hilton Global’s alternative investments line of business, which is focused on hedge funds, private equity, and fund of funds.

Shain brings over thirty years of experience to Hilton Global, providing investigative and fact-gathering services to funds of funds, investment banks, endowments, foundations, consultants, and others. Shain authored the industry-defining book, Hedge Fund Due Diligence: Professional Tools to Investigate Hedge Fund Managers. Recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer of Blue Heron Research Partners, an international qualitative due diligence research firm. He also co-founded investigative due diligence firm BackTrack Reports, which was acquired by First Advantage, where he led discrete investigations of over 8,500 hedge funds and 20,000 hedge fund managers.
