REDD Intelligence Announces Organizational Changes
Valeria Girimonte promoted to REDD Intelligence Group CEO
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Risk Event-Driven Distressed Intelligence (REDD Intelligence), a leading provider of material news and analysis of Emerging Market event driven special situations, today announced a series of organizational changes.
Effective June 1, 2017, Valeria Girimonte became REDD Intelligence’s Group CEO, managing the global business from the company’s offices in Silicon Valley and New York.
Gabriel DeSanctis is CEO of REDD Intelligence Asia, the company’s Singapore-based subsidiary, reflecting his move to the region to oversee the buildout and launch of REDD Intelligence Asia.
“For over three years, it has been my privilege to spearhead the company’s growth in Latin America, a region that has presented a challenge for large, established financial media groups,” Mr. DeSanctis said. “REDD quickly built a profitable, market-leading franchise with some of the best talent in the business, and I now look forward to replicating our success in Asia.”
Group CEO Valeria Girimonte will oversee REDD’s global operations and strategy, working closely with the sales, marketing, analyst and editorial teams to consolidate REDD’s position in Latin America, foster growth in Asia, and complete the company’s global expansion.
Ms. Girimonte began her career covering macro and international trends for a local think tank in Buenos Aires prior to joining Thomson Financial as a product manager. She joined financial-information start up Grupo Infotel Espana and was later the Head of Emerging Markets Research, Hedge Fund Products at Debtwire, a division of the Mergermarket Group, part of the Financial Times Group at the time.
Through her proven management of high-performance teams across the US, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East, Ms. Girimonte gained a broad range of practical and strategic expertise, including product management, operations, sales, marketing and research. A Licentiate in Economics from the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), she is also a graduate of the third CoHort of Stanford University’s Latino Entrepreneur Leaders Program (SLELP).
Ms. Girimonte and Mr. DeSanctis are both co-founders of REDD Intelligence and have worked together for over a decade as specialists in emerging market financial media, launching REDD Intelligence in October 2013.
