Brings three decades of sales experience to the company’s leadership

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Pivot3, a pioneer and innovator in the development of hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) solutions, today announced that Eddie Bridgers has been named the company’s area vice president of sales. Bridgers brings nearly 30 years of sales experience in the storage and software industry, most recently serving as director of sales for Hewlett-Packard’s storage division.

“Pivot3's unique and innovative global hyper-converged technology can make massive reductions in cost and complexity for customers in their data centers," said Bridgers. "I have been a part of companies like Pivot3 before, so I know the pattern and can recognize when a company is emerging as an important player in the IT market. I’ve enjoyed being a part of companies at this stage before they grow to massive success. I’m excited about what Pivot3 can do for customers and am eager to help the company grow.”

With a deep background in the IT industry, Bridgers helped drive healthy growth for 3PAR storage as vice president, and then stayed after its acquisition to bolster success for Hewlett-Packard as sales director of the company’s storage division. It was in these sales leadership roles that Bridgers created a compelling vision for the IT infrastructure needs of businesses.

“Eddie Bridgers has the skills that you want in a senior sales executive – he understands technology and how to apply it to create the greatest business benefit for customers,” said Dan Keelan, executive vice president of Pivot3. “He is a great communicator who is well-respected by his customers and peers, and he will help Pivot3 accelerate our growth as we deliver our innovative technology.”

Earlier in his career, Bridgers was a leader in sales management during the high-growth years of Oracle, PeopleSoft and several successful emerging growth companies, taking those products and solutions to market in data centers worldwide. With a vast understanding of how to build agile teams, Bridgers connects with customers to provide them with the best solutions for their needs.

“We’re excited to have Eddie Bridgers as a part of our team,” said Ron Nash, CEO of Pivot3. “He has a record of leading breakthrough technology companies to great success and he’ll play a key role doing that for Pivot3. Our hyper-converged infrastructure offers customers superior benefits for their business needs versus what they can buy from the incumbent IT companies, and we’re building the right team at Pivot3 to further this momentum with recent hires from IBM, VMware, Dell and Hewlett-Packard. These talented people want to be part of the data center of the future and are eager to join us during this time of important growth.”
