RI.gov launches its latest electronic customer convenience
PROVIDENCE, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Taxpayers can now pay their Rhode Island personal income tax credit online via, https://www.ri.gov/app/taxation/payments, on the official website for the Rhode Island Division of Taxation.
“This solution provides taxpayers with a convenient option for paying their personal income tax. It will be available for the filing season, which begins in January 2017,” said Acting Tax Administrator Neena S. Savage.
The service allows:
- Annual personal income tax payments
- Quarterly estimated payments of personal income tax
- Delinquent amounts of personal income tax
This latest electronic customer convenience was made possible by collaboration between the Division of Taxation and Rhode Island Interactive, who currently manages over 100 RI.gov online services. For each transaction, the taxpayer will be charged a dollar plus a transaction fee equaling 2.5 percent of the overall amount of the transaction.
Rhode Island Interactive manages www.ri.gov, the official government Web portal for the state of Rhode Island, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of NICUSA Inc. NICUSA is a unit of NIC Inc., a publicly traded company based in Olathe, Kansas. To read more about Rhode Island Interactive, visit www.rhodeislandinteractive.com.
