OpCritical Releases ‘Parachute,’ An Anthem For Freedom, Justice, And Happiness

On June 24, 2026, the band OpCritical released “Parachute,” its seventh single and music video of 2026, to express the hope of all people for freedom, justice, and happiness. In the video, two evildoers in a small plane sabotage a parachute as a man gets ready to jump. However, they did not realize that the man had a spare while they did not.  As the man falls to earth, his spare parachute deploys, spelling the word “freedom.” The evildoers were not so lucky.

“What does a parachute do?  ” asks OpCritical. “It saves you from free-falling and getting hurt. Right now, in this chaotic, crazy world, most people feel like they are falling apart, emotionally, financially, and personally. People want a way out, and many would welcome any parachute to take them to safety. And what do people everywhere ultimately want? Freedom, happiness, and justice. They can find those things inside themselves and then project them outward. Parachute is not simply meant for individuals but also for entire societies and countries that are yearning for freedom, justice, and happiness.  All across the world, from the United States, Russia, Miramar, Iran, Sudan, Afghanistan, and elsewhere, entire populations are being oppressed and denied these basic human desires. 

OpCritical plans to release many songs this year that address the scourge of autocracy. It believes in the power of democracy to eliminate inequality and spread freedom so that everyone is able to realize their full potential. The band was formed in 2026 in response to the dangers currently facing the world. The band will regularly release new songs and videos until the danger is gone. Since its first release in January 2026, OpCritical has rocketed to global acclaim with millions of views on YouTube, worldwide radio play, and hundreds of rave reviews by music bloggers and journalists.
