Olive Tree Greek Grill Inc. Introduces Their Chef Team

VIERA, Fla., March 5, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Olive Tree Greek Grill Inc of Viera FL is excited to announce the hiring of their Executive Chef Andrés Zuluaga along with Chef de Cuisine Matthew Lower. With their combined passion and impressive culinary background, we believe this duo will be amazing leaders for our culinary team.

Executive Chef Andrés will be heading to the motherland, Athens, Greece on March 4^th.  While in Greece Chef will train under Michelin Chef Nikos Karathanos learning the philosophy behind traditional Greek cuisine.   Chef Andrés and Chef Nikos will collaborate in creating the menu for Páno our sophisticated dining experience located on the second floor of the new Olive Tree Greek Grill location.  You can follow Chef Andrés' journey while in Greece on social media. 

Executive Chef Andrés Zuluaga

Chef began his culinary journey in 2013 at Eastern Florida State College's culinary school in Cocoa, FL.  After a summer internship with Wolfgang Puck's catering venue in Washington DC, he was convinced to stay long-term to join Wolfgang Puck's Asian concept The Source. 

Chef then worked for the Michelin-starred Fabio Trabocchi Restaurant Group opening Del Mar as Sous Chef, which achieved Esquire Magazine's 2018 list of "Best New Restaurants in America" and Nominated for a James Beard Award.

In 2020 as Executive Chef at Blend 111 he garnered many praises for his Latin-Cuisine from The Washington Posts' restaurant critic Tom Sietsema and Northern Virginia Magazine's "Top Ten Restaurants" list.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Zuluaga finds joy and fulfillment in his role as a husband and father to three children.

Chef de Cuisine Matthew Lower

A native of West Palm Beach chef at 20, traveled to Sweden where he worked under the tutelage of restaurateur Christian Kullman, training at his fine dining restaurant Madame Mustache.

After returning to America, Chef traveled from NYC to LA.  While in LA Chef worked alongside Govind Armstrong at the Mayor's congressional dinner of Los Angeles, as well as studied under 2-time Best Chef of Pasadena, Job Carder.

Upon his return to Florida Chef Matthew joined Chef Gwenael le Pape and his team at La Goulue on Palm Beach Island.   Prior to joining the Olive Tree Greek Grill Team Lower ran food production and oversaw multiple concepts for Slawson Organic Foods as their Executive Chef.

Away from the kitchen Chef Matthew enjoys being a husband and father of 2 young children as well as an avid car lover.
