Obama Administration Veteran Joins McBee Strategic

WASHINGTON, Jan. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- McBee Strategic Consulting (MSC), LLC, a leading advocacy and strategic communications firm, today announced that Brad Wolters, most recently the White House Liaison at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), has joined the firm's Communication practice as Vice President.

Wolters served as a senior advisor to the HHS Secretary and Agency leadership on cross-agency collaboration, strategic planning and management of political appointees. He worked with all components of the Agency, and across the Administration, on key priorities, including the Affordable Care Act.

Wolters previously served as the Chief of Staff and Policy Advisor to the Assistant Secretary for Health where he played a leadership role in the office's work coordinating agency policy on tobacco, hepatitis, health disparities, health promotion and drug shortages, as well as strategy for the Office of the Surgeon General. During his time, the office developed the Department's first cross-agency action plan for hepatitis, and the foundational work on the first ever Surgeon General report on the prevention of skin cancer. Prior to HHS, Wolters served on Capitol Hill for then-Senator Obama (D-IL) as a legislative aid and special assistant, and for Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD).

In December 2014, MSC was purchased by Wiley Rein LLP and operates as an independent subsidiary of the law firm.
