MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif., Jan. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Manhattan West Asset Management announced today that OC Isaac, formerly of VEDC (Valley Economic Development Corp), joins the firm as Shareholder and Managing Director. The arrival of OC Isaac marks the reunion of the former President of VEDC with former key members of VEDC's executive and credit management team as the company also added Angela Stanislawski, former V.P. of Operations, Nilima Kapoor, former Director of Special Assets and Michael Oberlitner, former VEDC Chief Credit Officer.
As a member of VEDC's Executive Management Team, Mr. Isaac was the head of East Coast operations and National Strategic Initiatives. "Reuniting with Roberto Barragan, the former VEDC President, is especially exciting to me. Knowing that we will continue to deliver the acutely focused CRA investment opportunities for the communities we serve gives me tremendous satisfaction," said Isaac. "My relationships with our New York and east coast based institutional funding partners will allow our team at Manhattan West to deliver a robust private equity solution that many of our bank and insurance companies seek."
"OC's reputation and contributions to the African American small business community across the country make him an invaluable addition to our team," said Roberto Barragan, Senior Managing Director at Manhattan West. "Our new team at Manhattan West has collectively sourced, originated and closed over 800 small business loan transactions since 1998. Angela, Mike, Nilima, OC and I have worked together for many years and I'm elated to have this team reunited on this new platform continuing to make impactful small business loans. We are poised for explosive growth and success in 2017."
