Cory Peter to transition into new role as Board Chairman in support of strategic growth efforts

PENDLETON, Ind., June 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Nutrition 101, LLC ("101"), a national provider of eco-friendly waste management services, today announced the appointment of Rick Shipley as Chief Executive Officer. Cory Peter, who has been serving as Chief Executive Officer since 2009, transitioned into his new role as Board Chairman and will continue to support 101's strategic growth.

Shipley brings a wealth of industry knowledge to 101, with over 20 years of experience leading companies within the environmental services and transportation industries, most recently serving as Chief Strategy Officer and Board Member of Denali. He previously served as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Organix Recycling. With a strong track record of operating and scaling dynamic businesses, Shipley brings the leadership and executional rigor to drive 101's continued growth and deliver reliable, customer-focused solutions at scale.

In his Board Chairman role, Peter will remain involved in 101's strategy, M&A activity, geographic expansion, and sustainability efforts for customers. During his leadership, the 101 team has developed innovative, efficient solutions to assist food manufacturers at their plants while also accounting for the entire food life cycle. In 2024, 101 recovered more than 750,000 tons of food waste, or around 82 semi loads a day, every day, feeding up to 500,000 animals.
