Non Profit Heartly House Announces Leadership Transition
Inga James Steps Down, Niki Thrash Appointed as Interim Executive Director
FREDERICK, Md., Oct. 18, 2024 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Heartly House, a nonprofit organization that has been a cornerstone of support for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse in Frederick County, announces the departure of its long-standing President and Executive Director.
Inga James has been an integral part of Heartly House's mission, leading the organization with a deep commitment to survivors' rights and the expansion of services to meet community needs. During her tenure, Inga played a key role in elevating Heartly House's impact, notably expanding its programs and fostering strong partnerships with local organizations, law enforcement, and the community.

Heartly House is pleased to announce that Niki Thrash, who has served as Heartly House's Deputy Director, will take on the role of Interim Executive Director. Niki brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit management, a passion for the mission, and a deep understanding of the needs of survivors in Frederick County. Niki has been instrumental in driving several key initiatives at Heartly House and will ensure that the organization continues to provide essential services without interruption.
The Board of Directors is committed to a seamless leadership transition and will work closely with Niki and the Heartly House team to maintain the organization's mission and momentum.
