HAVERTOWN, Pa., Nov. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Nolan Painting is in the full swing of an active fall season across Greater Philadelphia, with crews maximizing crisp, clear days on exterior projects while ramping up interior work ahead of the winter holidays. Alongside full daily job schedules, the company is maintaining high-tempo community engagement, actively sponsoring, volunteering, and participating in seasonal events across Greater Philadelphia.
The family-owned painting contractor was recently named a 2026 honoree of The Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia by the Chamber of Commerce for Greater Philadelphia. Conducted in partnership with the Philadelphia Foundation, Points of Light, and other local partners, The Civic 50 provides a standard for corporate citizenship and showcases how employers use their time, talent, and resources to drive social impact across regional communities and within their organizations.
"Giving back isn't something we do on the side-it's woven into our culture," said Kevin J. Nolan, Founder and Chairman of Nolan Painting. In September, Kevin served as the volunteer Race Director for the Delco 10 Miler, a race presented by the County of Delaware, PA, and Visit Delco. The event drew over 2,000 participants and benefited six non-profit organizations in Delaware County. On Halloween weekend, Nolan Painting was the presenting sponsor of the annual Monster Dash 5K at Bates Motel benefiting the Edgmont Township Fire Company No. 1. Nolan Painting provided monetary and volunteer support for both events.
During the fall season, Nolan Painting will sponsor a total of 24 road races, including six Turkey Trots, across the region. In December, over 100 Nolan Painting employees will serve as volunteers and course marshals to help put on the Reindeer Romp, an annual tradition in Havertown presented by the company and benefiting the American Cancer Society.
Beyond event sponsorships, Nolan Painting also dedicates time to local environmental initiatives such as cleanups and trail maintenance. Most recently, through a new partnership with Bird Safe Philly, Nolan Painting contributed over 100 volunteer hours to install Feather Friendly® Bird Collision Deterrent Markers across four local libraries: Chestnut Hill Library, Elkins Park Free Library, Glenside Free Library, and Conshohocken Free Library. The product uses small, strategically spaced adhesive dots to make windows visible to birds without significantly obstructing the view, helping to prevent fatal window collisions along key migratory flyways. While community volunteers treated ground-level glass, Nolan Painting provided its professional crews and equipment to treat high, hard-to-reach upper windows. The company plans to support two additional bird-safe window retrofit projects this fall at local nature preserves. Projects like this demonstrate how the team's skillset can be used in meaningful ways beyond day-to-day painting services.

The partnership is designed to help protect native birds in the greater Philadelphia regions from bird collisions with glass and other structures. Bird Safe Philly was created in response to a mass collision event that occurred on October 2, 2020 in which thousands of migratory birds died after colliding with buildings in Center City Philadelphia. The Bird Safe Philly partnership aims to create safe spaces for birds by developing awareness of the issue of bird collisions and implementing solutions, working in partnership with the greater Philadelphia community. Through Lights Out, Collision Monitoring, Retrofitting, and Bird Safe Schools, Bird Safe Philly strives to engage individuals, organizations, and the community in better understanding bird collisions and the solutions that can be implemented to help prevent these collisions.
