Minera IRL Announces Passing of Founding Director Courtney Chamberlain

LIMA, PERU -- (Marketwired) -- 04/21/15 -- It is with great sadness that Minera IRL Limited ("Minera IRL" or the "Company") (AIM: MIRL)(BVLAC: MIRL)(TSX: IRL) announces the passing of founding director Courtney Chamberlain.

The Management and Board of Directors and employees of Minera IRL would like to offer sincere condolences to Courtney's family and friends.

"Our Company has lost a talented, dedicated and passionate leader who made an unforgettable mark on the lives of his colleagues, family and friends, and we are deeply saddened by his death," said Mr. Diego Benavides, Executive President of Minera IRL SA. Courtney's passing is a tragic loss not only to his family and friends, but also to his many contacts in the resource industry during a successful and influential career of almost 50 years. He will long be remembered.

As announced on 6 March 2015, the Board has appointed Mr Daryl Hodges, Non-Executive Director, to the role of Executive Chairman with immediate effect and an update regarding a CEO and Board of Directors appointments is expected to be made shortly.
