The event, intended as a candlelight gathering to celebrate Charlie's life and legacy, was canceled out of concern for public safety.

"We don't want anyone hurt," organizers shared in a statement. "This was meant to be a celebration of faith, freedom, and gratitude for the work Charlie did to inspire millions of Americans."

Despite the cancellation, the movement to honor Charlie's memory continues to grow. A 10-year-old girl, deeply touched by Kirk's message of courage and conviction, donated her cherished Christus statue — an 8-foot-tall sculpture of Jesus Christ — as a tribute. Organizers and supporters are also calling on President Donald J. Trump to consider placing the statue in the White House Rose Garden as a national tribute, honoring Charlie as what many have called a "modern-day martyr" for truth and liberty.
